DAY 1 ATHENS Arrival at the Athens International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the city. The remainder of the day on your own. A fine opportunity to become acquainted with the city of Gods.
DAY 2 ATHENS (B) Ancient & modern blend in the morning sightseeing tour. Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium, the sentries in their much-photographed uniforms standing guards in front of the Parliament, the University & the Acropolis hill with the magnificent Parthenon & the Acropolis Museum. The afternoon & the evening are free to make your own discoveries.
DAY 3 ATHENS - SANTORINI (B) This morning you will be escorted to the airport for your short flight to the volcanic island of Santorini the Black pearl of the Aegean. Upon arrival, you will e met & transferred to your hotel. Tonight discover the charming little restaurants and the nightlife of this romantic island.
DAY 4-5 SANTORINI (B) Much to see & do, splendid views from the mountain-top villages, fine shopping, and beautiful beaches, in this sophisticated international resort in a picture postcard setting.
DAY 6 SANTORINI - ROME (B) Farewell Santorini this morning as you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Rome. Upon arrival at Rome’s airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to get acquainted with this lively city.
DAY 7 ROME (B) Begin to experience the sights & sounds of this magnificent city. Your morning tour takes you to the Quirinal palace, Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, St. Peters Basilica - the largest church in Christendom, Via Veneto & more. The afternoon is for leisure to explore on your own.
DAY 8 ROME (B) A full day at leisure in Rome. Continue to explore the city of endless wonders. Perhaps a visit to the Vatican museum, the Colosseum, or villa Borgeze or take time for some fine shopping in the elegant stores of the city.
DAY 9: ROME - FLORENCE (B) This morning you will be transferred to the train station for a train ride to Florence the city of Michelangelo, a paradise for art lovers & shopping enthusiasts. Arrival and check-in at your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for your own activities.
DAY 10: FLORENCE (B) Morning pick-up from your hotel for an introductory tour of the city. As you visit the Duomo, the Baptistry’s “Gates of Paradise, and Michelangelo’s David you can’t but be awed by the artistic genius which flourished here. Continue to visit the Cathedral, Piazzale Michelangelo, the Pitti palace, and the famous Pitti Galleries containing collections of fine tapestries and many masterpieces of a painting by Titian, Rubens, Murillo, Velasquez, Raphael & more. The afternoon is for leisure for exploring or shopping or perhaps an optional tour to nearby Pisa.
DAY 11 FLORENCE - VENICE (B) After breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to the train station for your train ride to the floating city of Venice. More than 100 small islands make up the city. Upon arrival check into your hotel. The remainder of the day on your own to explore the city of Canals, Gondolas, romance & fantasy.
DAY 12 VENICE (B) This remarkable floating city boasts the most extraordinary collection of architectural styles in Europe. Your walking tour includes the Doge’s palace, St. Mark’s square, the Golden Basilica & the ridge of sights. In the afternoon on your own perhaps experience a scenic gondola ride.
DAY 13 VENICE (B) Check out and depart to your next destination.
