Day 1 ISTANBUL Overnight International flight to Istanbul with all meals on board.

Day 2 ISTANBUL Upon arrival at Istanbul’s airport you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Then balance the day at leisure to relax or stroll around in this fascinating city.

Day 3 ISTANBUL (B, L) Set on two continents this ancient city combines its cultures well. A tour of the city takes you to St. Sophia, the 6th century Byzantine Basilica famous for being the largest church of its era, the Byzantine Hippodrome now an open exhibition park with a number of monuments, the 17th century Imperial “Blue Mosque” famous for its six minarets and more. After lunch the tour takes you to the Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman Sultans now a world famous museum, the 16th century Suleimaniye Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, world’s largest covered market with more than 4,000 shops and multitude alleys.

Day 4 ISTANBUL-ANKARA (B,L) Sightseeing today includes a cruise of the Bosporus, the strait that separates the city. Enjoy a great taste of the skyline with minarets and domes, pinewood hills and landmarks of Istanbul. See such famous sites as the Dolmabahce Palace, the Rumeli Hisar fortress, Tower of Leander and more. The cruise ends at the fishing village of Seriyen. After lunch your tour continues to the Asian side of the city, passing through the intercontinental suspension bridge, visit the Beylerbeyi Palace used by the Sultans during the 19th century as a summer residence and famous for its magnolia filled gardens, the Handicraft Center on the coast and more. After the tour you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Ankara where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5 ANKARA-CAPPADOCIA (B,L,D) First visit to Ankara’s most important sites including the Anatolian museum of civilizations which displays archaeological pieces dating as far back as the prehistoric age, the mausoleum of Ataturk and the ancient Citadel. After lunch in Ankara you depart for Biblical Cappadocia. A brief visit to the 13th century Agzikarahan Caravanserail and a stop to the Salt Lake for pictures, continue to Cappadocia for overnight.

Day 6 CAPPADOCIA (B,L,D) We set out today for a tour of the impressive region of Cappadocia, rich in history, religion and monuments. Featured sightseeing includes, the natural Citadel of Uchisar with a panoramic view of the area, the Goreme valley with its 10th century churches cut out of soft rock with beautiful interior frescoes. After lunch at a typical regional restaurant visit continues to the cliff-side Byzantine monastic complex in the Valley of Zelve, a site most famous for its troglodyte residences, a brief visit to Cavusin and finally the village of Avanos famous for its pottery and handicrafts.

Day 7 CAPPADOCIA-ANKARA-ISTANBUL (B,L) After breakfast at the hotel visit continues to the 7th century underground city of Kaymakli, established by early Christians to flee from prosecution. A visitor is able to descend several floor levels. We depart for Ankara stopping for lunch on the way. Upon arrival transfer to Ankara airport for your flight to Istanbul where you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 8 ISTANBUL (B) After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
