Itinerary (B = breakfast, L = lunch, D = dinner)

DAY 1: TO ATHENS Departure on your overnight flight to Athens.

DAY 2: ATHENS Arrival at the Athens International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the city. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 3: ATHENS (B) After breakfast depart on an Athens city tour which will introduce you to the most important sites of the city. You will visit the famed Acropolis with its dominating view, and the site of the renowned Parthenon, one of the most impressive structures in the world, followed by a visit to the Acropolis Museum. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 4: ATHENS - NAUPLION (B,D) After breakfast, early morning departure by air conditioned motor coach to start the four-day Classical Tour of Greece. A drive via the Bay of Salamis and the Saronic Gulf will bring you to ancient Corinth. Continue on to Mycenae to see the Lion Gate and the Beehive Tombs of King Agamemnon. Then to Epidaurus to visit the world renowned theater. Dinner and overnight in Nauplion.

DAY 5: NAUPLION - OLYMPIA (B,D) A morning drive will take you through the Central Peloponnese, Arcadia and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Arrival in Olympia, where you will visit the famous stadium which gave birth to the Olympic Games. You will also visit the impressive Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, and one of the greatest sculptures of all time, “Hermes” by Praxiteles. Dinner and overnight in Olympia.

DAY 6: OLYMPIA - DELPHI (B,D) Today you will drive via the Plains of Ilia and Achaia to Patras, the capital of Peloponnese, and take the ferry from Rion to Antirion. You will pass picturesque Nafpactos, the town of Itea, then continue and visit the Castalia Spring and the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia. Dinner and overnight in Delphi.

DAY 7: DELPHI - KALAMBAKA-METEORA (B,D) After breakfast, the morning today is dedicated to the exploration of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios and the Delphi Museum. Free time for lunch and shopping at the local stores and then on to the region of Kalambaka.

DAY 8: KALAMBAKA-METEORA - ATHENS (B) A drive to Meteora, which is a cluster of monastic buildings perched in an unforgettable manner on a set of rising rock formations. Your included visit is certainly the day's highlight. Later drive south via Larissa to Athens for overnight.

DAY 9: ATHENS - CRUISE (B,L,D) Transfer to Piraeus, the main port of Athens, to embark on your awaiting cruise ship.

The first port of call today will be the jet set island of Mykonos. Stroll at leisure through the white-washed, flower-decked alleyways to the sculpture like church of Paraportiani, or along the waterfront to the famous windmills.

DAY 10: KUSADASI - PATMOS (B,L,D) Early morning arrival into Kusadasi, a most popular Turkish port and gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus. In the afternoon, your ship will call at the island of Patmos. Here you can visit the Monastery of St. John, where the Book of Revelations was written.

DAY 11: RHODES (B,L,D) Early morning arrival into Rhodes, the island of Roses. You will spend a full day on the island to explore on your own or embark on an optional sightseeing tour. Or simply hire a taxi and go to one of the nearby beaches for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean.

DAY 12: HERAKLEION - SANTORINI (B,L,D) In the morning the ship will call at Herakleion, Crete. Here you may choose to discover the town on your own or embark on an optional excursion to the Minoan Palace of Knossos, followed by a visit to the Herakleion Museum. The next destination today is the island of Santorini, the land of the fabled Atlantis. After strolling through the narrow streets of the town, enjoy the breathtaking view of the volcanic site below while sipping a cool refreshment.

DAY 13: ATHENS - DEPARTURE (B) Disembark from your cruise and transfer to the airport for your departing flight.
