Sunday – Arrival in Sorrento (D)
Arrive in Sorrento, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. Check into your hotel and enjoy free time to explore the seaside town. Receive your welcome brochure and join a welcome drink with the tour leader. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Monday – Capri & Anacapri Excursion (B, D)
After breakfast, travel by boat to the island of Capri, famed for inspiring artists and writers. Visit Anacapri with the option to tour Villa San Michele. In Capri, stroll from the Piazza to the Gardens of Augustus, offering panoramic views of the Faraglioni rocks and rugged coastline. Optional visit to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting). Return to Sorrento for dinner. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Tuesday – Amalfi Coast Drive: Positano, Amalfi & Ravello (B, D)
Enjoy a day at leisure or book an optional guided excursion along the Amalfi Coast, one of Europe’s most spectacular drives. Stop in Positano for photos, continue to Amalfi, once a powerful maritime republic, and visit its cathedral housing relics of St. Andrew. Continue to Ravello, with the option to visit Villa Rufolo. Return to Sorrento for dinner. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Wednesday – Pompeii & Transfer to Sicily (B, D)
Depart for Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site buried by Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Guided tour through ancient streets, baths, forums, and villas with preserved frescoes. Continue to Salerno port for your afternoon ferry to Messina, Sicily. Evening arrival, transfer to hotel, cold dinner, and overnight. Overnight stay in Messina.
Thursday – Mount Etna & Taormina (B, D)
Morning excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest and most active volcano. Explore the Silvestri Craters (1,900m) and optionally continue by jeep. Visit a local beekeeper to taste Sicilian honey. Afternoon visit to Taormina, perched on Monte Tauro, with the option to tour the Greek‑Roman Theatre, the second largest in Sicily. Overnight stay in Taormina area.
Friday – Noto & Syracuse Baroque & Archaeology Tour (B, D)
Full‑day excursion to Noto, a jewel of Sicilian Baroque and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Cathedral, Santa Chiara Church, Palazzo Ducezio, and Via Nicolaci, famous for the Infiorata flower festival. Continue to Syracuse, exploring the Archaeological Park, Roman Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, Ear of Dionysus, Cave of the Cordari, and Ortigia Island, the ancient heart of the city. Overnight stay in Taormina area.
Saturday – Departure from Taormina Mare (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart at any time. Option to extend your stay in Sicily, return to Sorrento, or continue your Italian journey.
