Day 1: Arrival in Athens – Welcome to Greece
Arrive at Athens International Airport and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the historic capital of Greece. Overnight in Athens.
Day 2: Athens City Tour – Acropolis, Parthenon & Acropolis Museum (B)
After breakfast, embark on a guided Athens city tour featuring the most iconic landmarks of the ancient world. Visit the Acropolis, the majestic Parthenon, and the celebrated Acropolis Museum. Enjoy the afternoon free to explore Plaka, shop, or relax at a café. Overnight in Athens.
Day 3: Athens to Olympia – Corinth Canal, Mycenae & Epidaurus (B, D)
Begin your Classical Greece tour with an early departure by air‑conditioned motor coach.
Stop at the Corinth Canal for photos
Continue to Mycenae to see the Lion Gate and the Tomb of Agamemnon
Visit Epidaurus, home to the world‑famous ancient theater
Short stop in the charming seaside town of Nafplion
Travel through the Peloponnese to Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Dinner and overnight in Olympia.
Day 4: Olympia to Delphi – Archaeological Site & Scenic Drive (B, D)
Visit the Archaeological Site of Olympia, including:
Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus
Ancient Stadium
Archaeological Museum
The masterpiece “Hermes” by Praxiteles
Continue your journey through the regions of Eliad and Achaia, crossing the impressive Rion–Antirion Bridge. Pass through the coastal towns of Nafpaktos and Itea before arriving in Delphi. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Delphi to Meteora – Oracle of Apollo & Mountain Landscapes (B, D)
Explore the legendary Delphi Archaeological Site, once considered the “Center of the World.” Highlights include:
Sanctuary of Apollo
Castalian Spring
Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia
Delphi Museum
Then travel north to Kalambaka, the gateway to the towering rock formations of Meteora. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Meteora Monasteries – Return to Athens (B)
After breakfast, visit the breathtaking Meteora Monasteries, perched atop massive rock pillars and home to priceless examples of Byzantine art.
In the afternoon, return to Athens via:
The Valley of Tempi
Lamia
Thermopylae, with a stop at the Leonidas Monument
Kammena Vourla
Arrive in Athens in the early evening. Overnight in Athens.
Day 7: Athens at Leisure – Optional Tours & Shopping (B)
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Athens. Choose an optional excursion, explore the boutiques of Kolonaki, or relax at a café and soak in the rhythm of modern Greek life. Overnight in Athens.
Day 8: Departure from Athens (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight home or continue your journey with a Greek islands cruise or another Anemos Tours package.
