Terms & Conditions

 

 

CONDITIONS & GENERAL INFORMATION

 

The prices mentioned in this brochure are valid throughout 2024 or until superseded by another publication; they include air, land, and cruise arrangements as specified in each itinerary. All prices are quoted per person in US Dollars and are based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect at the time of printing. The rates are subject to change without prior notification if significant currency fluctuations and/or unforeseen economic circumstances so necessitate.

 

RATES & VALIDITY: Anemos Tours, Inc. Long Island City, New York, is referred to as AT in these Terms & Conditions.

 

RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS, AND FINAL PAYMENTS: A deposit of 25% per person is required within ten days after a reservation is made. No reservation is considered confirmed until AT receives the 25% deposit.  Final payment is due 60 days before the departure date. Payment for bookings made 15 days or less before departure must be made by cash, certified, or bank check only.  Major credit cards (Amex, Visa, MC) are accepted for payments.  For your protection, credit card charges will not be processed unless accompanied by an AT Credit Card Authorization Form, completed and signed by the card-holder, as well as credit card imprints (imprints to be submitted by legible photocopies of the credit card's front and back sides, as well photocopies of the holder's driver license).  A special agreement may apply on group reservations, as specified in the Group Proposal and/or Group Contract documents.

 

BOOKING / CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS: Booking changes received after tour confirmation is subject to a $100 change fee per occurrence. No changes are permitted after AT has issued travel documents.  A $200 handling/administration per person fee will be assessed for cancellations received at any time before the tour's commencement. A $300 per person additional fee for cruise-inclusive tours if canceling less than 90 days before departure.  For cancellations received less than 90 days before departure, the following fees will apply: Days before departure:

 

Up until 61 days before departure: 10% and administrative per person fees.
60-31 days: before departure 50% of the total tour cost
30-01 days: before departure 100% of the total tour cost

Applications for refunds must be submitted in writing to ANEMOS TOURS, INC., within 30 days of tour termination. NO REFUNDS will be considered for unused parts of the program.

 

DOCUMENTS: Upon receipt of the pre-determined deposit, AT will issue an invoice. Final documents and vouchers will be issued after full payment is received in our offices and the amount has been credited to AT's bank account.

AIR TRANSPORTATION: The prices listed in each tour price chart include round-trip international air transportation in Economy Class from the specified US gateway to the tour destination via an IATA carrier.  If applicable, the cost of domestic flights abroad is also included in the tour price.  The applicable taxes in conjunction with airline tickets are not included in any of the tour prices and will be assessed separately at the time of the booking.

 

HOTELS: Hotels are categorized as per evaluation by each country's tourist authorities.  Prices are based on two passengers sharing a twin / double-bedded room.  The number of single accommodations is limited on each departure; if available it can be purchased as a supplement.  Hotel service charges and taxes are included in the tour price.  AT reserves the right to substitute any hotel with another of a similar category before departure or during the tour.

 

TRANSFERS/LAND TRANSPORTATION: Included as per the tour itinerary, provided that the passengers do not alter their arrival or departure dates and flights.  Otherwise, passengers should make separate transfer arrangements either on their own or through AT at an extra cost.  Depending on the size of the group, land transportation may be affected by a private car, van, mini-bus, or full-size air-conditioned motor coach.

 

CRUISES: All cruise ships used are fully air-conditioned.  Prices for cruise-inclusive tours are based on accommodation in inside cabins with 2 lower beds and private facilities unless otherwise specified in the included Features section and tour price chart.  Upgrades to higher categories on the ship can be offered upon request as a supplement. 

 

EXCURSIONS / SIGHTSEEING: As described in each itinerary, excursions, and sightseeing is escorted by an English-speaking guide and the entrance fees to visited sites are included in the tour price.  Cruise shore excursions in conjunction with Mediterranean cruises are optional and they may be purchased in advance in the USA if so requested upon the time of booking, or on board the ship during the cruise.  Shore excursions are included on Nile cruises.

 

MEALS: Most tours include daily breakfast; other meals as specified in the tour itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner). All meals are included on the Mediterranean and Nile cruises, except for yacht cruises where breakfast and lunch OR dinner are offered daily.

 

BAGGAGE: Porterage for one normal-size suitcase per passenger is included in the tour price.  One carry-on piece per passenger may be carried aboard aircraft and motor coaches; for multi-day land tours, we strongly recommend only one suitcase per two passengers.  Neither AT nor its authorized representatives abroad will be held responsible for loss or damage to luggage and personal belongings.  Baggage insurance is strongly recommended.

 

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE: Port taxes for Mediterranean cruise; airport departure taxes; passport and visa fees; camera fees; excess baggage fees; laundry; telephone calls; wine and/or other liquors; mineral waters or soft drinks; meals not included in the itinerary; sightseeing or services other than those specifically mentioned in the itinerary; tips to motor coach drivers when touring and tour guides as well as tips to stewards on cruises, which are customary but are left to the passenger's discretion.

 

PASSPORT & VISAS: All passengers must have a valid passport.  As each country's visa requirements vary for US or non-US citizens, we recommend that you consult with the respective country's embassy and consulate.  It is the sole responsibility of the passengers to obtain visas independently.

 

POSSIBLE CHANGES: Anemos Tours, Inc. reserves the right to substitute any hotel or cruise ship listed with one of a similar category.  Tour and cruise companies reserve to modify their itineraries.  No refund can be considered in the event of absence or deviation from the tour unless specific arrangements have been made at the time of booking the tour.  Accidents en route may require trip interruptions; AT strongly recommends the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance (accident, baggage, trip interruption, etc), which can be obtained through either AT, Inc. or your travel agent. Unexpected and unforeseen local conditions beyond the control of Anemos Tours, Inc. may force the company to alter or curtail the itinerary of the tour to secure the passenger's safety, health, and enjoyment.  In such cases, AT, Inc. will endeavor to provide comparable substitutes or to effect refunds; any savings realized for such changes will be passed on to the traveler and any resultant expenses will be borne by the traveler.

 

RESPONSIBILITY / LIABILITY CLAUSE: Anemos Tours, Inc.- New York and its authorized representatives act only as agents for the clients in all matters about travel by air or surface.  They shall not be or become liable for any loss, injury or damage or delay to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodations, transportation, or other services referred to in this brochure resulting directly from acts of God, dangers at sea, fire, machinery or equipment breakdown, sickness, epidemics, quarantine, medical or customs regulations, pilferage, labor disputes, strikes, riots, thefts, government restrains, hostilities, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism of any kind, wars whether declared or not, losses or delays or additional expenses resulting from insufficient or improperly issued passports and/or visas and other documents, or any other causes beyond Anemos Tours, Inc. control; neither AT nor its affiliates or representatives shall become liable or responsible for any additional expenses or liability sustained or occurred by the tour member as a result of any of the foregoing causes.  The tickets, coupons, tariffs, rules, or contracts currently used by any carrier, hotel, restaurant, or other contractor rendering services shall constitute the sole contract between such contractor and the tour member.  No carrier shall be responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board its conveyance.
